It is harvested sustainably and is never dredged or free-fished. Often called the sea opal, paua shell features an entirely natural swirling pattern of rich blues, deep greens, and iridescent pinks or purples. Because the patterns form naturally every single piece of jewellery is completely unique. The pieces are set in a hard-wearing imitation rhodium-plated amalgam, with brass or stainless-steel bases. The entire range is fully compliant with European REACH safety standards for being nickel, cadmium, and lead-free, making them safe for sensitive skin.
